We're looking for a reliable Foundation & Excavation Operator to join our growing team at John the Plumber.

As our company continues to grow, we're expanding our foundation division and looking for someone who wants to be part of building it from the ground up. While plumbing excavation remains part of what we do, our primary focus is foundation excavation, repairs, waterproofing support, and structural projects. What We're Looking For:
- Experience operating excavators safely and efficiently.
- Experience working on foundation excavation, foundation repairs, waterproofing, or similar construction projects is a strong asset.
- Valid license/certification to legally operate excavation equipment.
- Valid driver's license (DZ license is an asset but not required).
- Willing to listen, learn, and take direction.
- Adaptable and open to doing things the John the Plumber way.
- Honest with strong integrity, you do the right thing even when nobody is watching.
- Punctual and dependable. Your team counts on you.
- Strong attention to detail with pride in producing quality work.
- Works well as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.
- Positive attitude and professional when dealing with customers and coworkers.
- Takes care of equipment, tools, and company property with respect.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operating excavation equipment for residential and commercial foundation projects.
- Excavating for foundation repairs, waterproofing, and structural work.
- Digging and exposing foundations while maintaining safe excavation practices.
- Working safely around existing utilities, structures, and neighboring properties.
- Assisting foundation crews with excavation, backfilling, grading, and site preparation.
- Performing excavation for sewer and water service installations when required.
- Performing daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Working closely with foundation crews, plumbers, and other team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
